Websites can be easily ‘over optimized’—this usually happens when too many keywords are being used.
Optimizing texts
Your content should be interesting and easy for visitors to read. Because of this, we recommend using keywords in these ways:
- Write the text and, at first, don’t pay attention to where you place keywords
- Read through your finished text and see where keywords fit well into it
- Swap certain words for your keywords
If you’re not sure if your text is easy to read and understand, ask someone who doesn’t know the subject very well to read through it for you, so you can get some feedback.
Optimizing headlines
When visitors read a headline, they should instantly get a good idea of what information they’ll find underneath. This is also important for Google: make sure to only use really important keywords in your headlines.
