The Privacy Policy is activated as standard on all Jimdo Creator websites. In the footer of your website you’ll find the link to a separate page with the Privacy Policy on it.
You can deactivate this link by the following:
- Log in to your Jimdo account and choose the desired website
- Click Edit to enter your Jimdo Creator website’s edit mode
- In the menu, go to Settings > General > Footer
- Uncheck the box for Privacy Policy and save your changes
Privacy Policy
You can personalize the Privacy Policy and add your own content to the page. If you use any of the following features on your Jimdo Creator website, a reference will automatically be added to your Privacy Policy:
- Use of Cookies
- reCAPTCHA and data protection
- Use of Google Analytics
You also have the option to remove these legal references. To do this, in the menu, go to Settings > Privacy & Security and uncheck the relevant boxes.
Please be aware that, by doing this, your Privacy Policy may possibly not be legally conform.
Your own Privacy Policy
You can complete and format your own Privacy Policy in the menu under Settings > Privacy & Security —just scroll down to the section Custom Privacy Policy.
Privacy Policy in your Contact Form
You can adjust the text regarding Privacy Policy in your contact form from within the menu. Open the menu and go to Settings > Privacy and Security. Change your text using the box beneath Privacy Policy for forms.
