Requirements
- You have a Premium plan for your Creator website. Only paid plans have access to the Google Analytics feature.
- You have a Google Analytics account. If you don’t have an account yet, you can create a free account here.
How to find your Measurement ID
To connect your Google Analytics account with your Creator website, you first need to find your Measurement ID. Follow these steps:
- Log in to your Google Analytics account.
- Click the gear icon (Admin) in the bottom-left corner.
- Under Data collection and modification, select Data streams.
- Select the appropriate data stream and click to open it.
- Your Measurement ID will be displayed in the top-right corner.
- Copy the Measurement ID.
Note: Your Measurement ID must start with G- and contain a total of 10 characters (letters and numbers). Format:
G-XXXXXXXXXX
How to add your Measurement ID to your Creator website
- Log in to your Jimdo website.
- Click Menu and go to SEO › Settings › Google Analytics.
- Enter your Measurement ID in the empty field.
- Save your changes.
You should see the first results in your Google Analytics account after about 24 hours.
Privacy information
When you use our feature to connect your own Google Analytics codes to your Jimdo Creator website (in SEO › Settings › Google Analytics), almost all requirements for a privacy-compliant use of Google Analytics are met. The _anonymizeIp() function is applied automatically, and a Google Analytics notice is added to your website’s privacy policy.
To ensure fully privacy-compliant use of Google Analytics, however, you need to sign a Data Processing Agreement with Google. You can find more information here .
