Use the Image Gallery element to display multiple images grouped together on your Jimdo website. You can add the element by clicking the Add Content > Image Gallery button in the content area.
Image Display
Once you’ve uploaded your images, you can choose how they are displayed. The following options are available:
- horizontal arrangement
- vertical arrangement
- grid layout
- slider / slideshow
Advanced Settings
Switch from the tile view to the list view to make advanced adjustments to your images. In the list view, you can:
- delete images
- edit images
- add links to images
- add captions
Tip: In the list view, you can also add an alt text to your background images. This makes your background images easier to understand for search engines and screen readers.
Image Order
Rearrange your images in the list or tile view to change their order in the gallery. Click on an image, hold down the left mouse button, and drag it to the desired position.
File Formats
You can use the following file formats for your images: *.png, *.jpg, or *.gif.
