How do I hide a page?

You can hide pages so that they don’t appear in the navigation any more. Once hidden, these pages can only be brought up by using a direct link.

Hiding pages

1. Log in to your Jimdo account and choose the desired website
2. Click Edit to enter your Jimdo Creator website’s edit mode
3. With the mouse, hover over the navigation until the blue Edit Navigation bar appears, and click on it
4. Click on the eye icon (Hide page in navigation) to the right of the page that you want to hide. The page is invisible when the eye symbol is crossed through
5. Save your changes

Create a link to your hidden page so that visitors can still find the page. This way, your navigation will stay compact, without having to give up any important information.

Note

Please note that Google will still crawl hidden pages and show them in search results. You can get around this by using password-protected areas or Robot Meta Tags
