How do I set up PayPal as a payment option?

You can offer your customers an additional payment method in your store by integrating PayPal into your Creator website.

Important: To connect PayPal to your store, ensure you have a PayPal business account. Please note that the use of PayPal Plus is not supported in this integration.

Request API credentials

To connect PayPal to your Creator website, you will need the essential API Signature Credentials, which can be requested directly at PayPal.

This information consists of an API Username, API Password, and an API Signature without an expiration date.

Entering your API Signature

Once you have obtained the API Credentials from PayPal, copy and add them to your website by following these steps:

1. Log in to your Jimdo account and choose the desired website
2. Click Edit to enter your website’s edit mode
3. In the menu, go to Store > Settings > Payment Options
4. Check the box next to PayPal (credit card, debit card, and bank transfer)
5. Paste the copied information in to the relevant field and make any changes you want to the ‘Special note to customers on using this payment method’
6. Click Save
