You can choose a template for your Jimdo Creator website in the menu under Design > Main > Templates. Then follow these steps:
- Click on a template to load it as a preview. Now you can see how your website and content would look with this particular template.
- If you like the template and want to use it, just click Save.
Once the template has been saved, it will be visible for your visitors.
Choosing template variations
All of our templates have several design variations. The designs generally vary from one another in terms of color but in some cases, you may see a different position for the sidebar or the background area appears differently. You can see the design variations by clicking on the cards icon (Variations) on a template in the templates library in the menu.
Styling existing content
A new template always fits around the existing content on your website. Example content from the preview (such as backgrounds and elements) aren’t inserted in to the template. Example content only appears on newly created websites.
Filtering templates
Templates determine the position and style of certain areas of your Jimdo website. Included in this is, for example, the position and type of navigation, the logo area, or the behavior of the sidebar.
