By adding alternative text to your images, you’ll help Google read them. Here’s how to add alternative text:

Photo Element and Text with Photo Elements

To add alternative text to the Photo Element and Text with Photo Element, follow these steps:

1. Log in to your Jimdo account and choose the desired website
2. Click Edit to enter your Jimdo Creator website’s edit mode
3. Select the element and click on it
4. In the element settings underneath, click on the tag icon (Caption and Alternative Text)
5. Enter your Alternative Text in the empty field
6. Save your changes

Photo Gallery Element

Here’s how to add alternative text to images in the Photo Gallery Element:

1. Log in to your Jimdo account and choose the desired website
2. Click Edit to enter your Jimdo Creator website’s edit mode
3. Choose the Photo Gallery Element and click on it to open up the advanced settings
4. Click in the settings on the List icon (List view)
5. Enter your alternative text in the field for the Caption
6. Save the changes

Good to know: In a Photo Gallery Element, the field for the caption is also the field for the alternative text.
