Many Creator users have heard about the new Jimdo Companion and wonder if they can use it, too.
Here, we explain why Companion is currently only available for websites built with the Jimdo Website Builder—and how you can still try it out.
What is the Jimdo Companion?
The Companion is your personal business assistant.
It analyzes your website and business data, provides recommendations, helps you create content, and supports you in managing your business more efficiently.
Why isn’t Companion available for Creator?
Creator websites are based on a different technical setup than websites in the Jimdo Website Builder.
The Companion relies on structured data such as website content, forms, bookings, analytics, and details from your business profile—these are only available in the Jimdo Website Builder.
That’s why Companion can’t be used effectively with Creator websites.
How can I use Companion?
If you’d like to try out the Jimdo Companion, you can create a new website in the Jimdo Website Builder for free:
Log in to your Jimdo account
Go to Projects
Click + Create new website
Select “Create a beautiful website—no coding required”
This will start a new project in the Jimdo Website Builder, where Companion will automatically be available in your dashboard.
