If you already use email accounts with your domain provider, you can set up a CNAME forwarding. This way, email stays with your provider and your website is managed via Jimdo.
Add a CNAME entry
A CNAME record looks like this:
www.yourdomain.xx CNAME web.jimdo.com.
Replace yourdomain.xx with your own domain.
Example
The target must always be web.jimdo.com.
A domain forwarded via CNAME cannot point to a specific subpage. It will always open the homepage.
The old .jimdo.com addresses have been removed. Make sure your CNAME record points to web.jimdo.com.
Create a 301 redirect
Set up a 301 redirect so your domain works without www.
Origin: yourdomain.xx
Target: www.yourdomain.xx
It can take up to 24 hours for the changes to take effect. Also make sure your domain is connected to your Jimdo website.
