Each Jimdo website has an individual username, which is simultaneously also a part of the individual domain of every Jimdo website.
The domain is made up like this: Username + Jimdo subdomain + Ending
So for example: myexamplesite.jimdoweb.com or yourdomain.jimdofree.com
Changing your domain
The individual domain can’t be changed.
And there’s a good reason for this: Your Jimdo website is always available under this domain. If you changed this domain and your visitors enter the old domain in their browser, they won’t be able to see your website anymore.
Features
With the premium Creator plans, you can also use an own domain (without the Jimdo subdomain). If you upgrade your Free plan, you can register your own domain, which will then be shown in place of the free domain.
If you’ve already got a premium plan and you’d like to change your domain, we can help you with a domain change.
