If you’re planning on opening an online store with your Jimdo Creator website, it makes sense to formulate your Terms & Conditions (T&Cs) and Returns Policy, which you can then add to your website.
Information on Terms & Conditions
With clearly written T&Cs, you make sure that your customers are fully informed about doing transaction(s) with you.
The scope and content of the Terms & Conditions always depend on the type of offer, the products or services offered and the associated legal requirements. We, therefore, recommend that you always get advice from a lawyer or an expert in online trade. For an easier start in the beginning, a "T&C generator" can be consulted. This, of course, does not replace an individual, tailored to offer legal advice.
Adding texts
You can add your T&Cs and your Returns Policy to your website by following these steps:
- Log in to your Jimdo account and choose the desired website
- Click Edit to enter your Jimdo Creator website’s edit mode
- In the menu, go to Store > Settings > Terms, Return Policy, etc.
- Insert your text in to the relevant open fields
- Save your changes
Features
As soon as you have fully set up your online store, your customers can find links to your T&Cs and Returns Policy in the footer of your website. In addition to this, both texts are automatically shown on the confirmation page and also sent to the customer via email.
