To ensure your emails are recognized as trustworthy and don’t end up in the spam folder, you can set up DKIM records for your domain. This verifies that emails actually come from you or your email service.
What is DKIM?
DKIM (DomainKeys Identified Mail) is an email security standard that ensures your emails are digitally signed. This signature is stored using a special entry (DKIM record) in your domain’s DNS settings.
How to Add DKIM Records in Jimdo Creator

- In the menu, go to Domains and Emails.
- Select the domain for which you want to add the DKIM record.
- Scroll to the DKIM Record section.
- Choose whether you want to create a TXT or CNAME record. The type of record depends on the requirements of your email provider.
- Enter the following information provided by your email provider:
- Selector (Domain Key): for example default._domainkey
- Record Value: The complete key or target value specified by your provider
- Once you’ve filled in both fields, the Save button will appear. Click this button to save the record.
Notes on Input and Management
- If you want to delete a record, simply clear both fields and save again. The record will be removed.
- Once a record is saved, another input field will automatically appear. This allows you to add multiple DKIM records if needed.
Important: Changes to DNS records may take up to 24 hours to become active worldwide.
