Want your Jimdo Creator website to be reachable using more than one domain? You can always add additional domains to your Jimdo Creator website. If you already have a domain registered elsewhere, you can also transfer it to Jimdo yourself without contacting support.

Adding an additional domain
- Log in to your Jimdo account and choose the desired website
- Click Edit to enter your Jimdo Creator website’s edit mode
- In the menu, go to Domains & Emails > Domains
- Click on Add a new domain and follow the steps
- If the domain is still available, you’ll be shown the exact price for its addition to your subscription. If you agree, click Register domain
- Complete the domain registration form and continue to complete the order
Important: The email address you enter will receive your new domain's AuthCode. Make sure it's an address you will always have access to, and don't use an address on the domain you're registering. Learn which email address to choose.
The domain will now register and be added to your Jimdo plan. Generally, it takes between 1-5 days to register the domain.
Adding an existing (external) domain
Already have a domain registered elsewhere that you'd like to use for your Jimdo Creator website? You can transfer it yourself, without contacting support:
- Log in to your Jimdo account and choose the desired website.
- Click Edit Website to enter your Jimdo Creator website's edit mode.
- In the menu, go to Domains & Email > Domains.
- Click Add a new domain.
- Choose Use an existing domain.
- Select Transfer my domain to Jimdo and click Transfer Domain.
- Purchase the additional domain.
- Complete the transfer using the authorization code (auth code) you requested from your previous domain provider.
Note: You'll need the auth code (also called an EPP code) from your current domain provider before you start the transfer. If you don't already have it, see our instructions for getting the auth code from common domain providers.

Do I need to contact support to add an external domain?
No. You can transfer your existing domain yourself, following the steps above.
What is an auth code / EPP code?
It's a security code your current domain provider gives you to confirm you're authorized to transfer the domain elsewhere. You'll need to request it from them before starting the transfer. See our instructions for getting the auth code from common domain providers.
