When you register a domain through Jimdo, your contact details are stored with the domain registry as your WHOIS or registrant data. If information such as your address or phone number changes, you can update it yourself in your website's edit mode. Your changes are sent directly to the domain registrar.

What you can edit
- Owner type (Private or Company)
- First name and last name
- Street
- Additional address information
- Postal code

If the domain should belong to a different person or company, this is a change of owner and can't be done here. Please contact Jimdo Support and we will help you.
Please note: Your domain registry (for example DENIC for .de domains) may send you an email to verify the updated data. Make sure you provide a valid phone number as well, since some registries may use it for verification.
When this option is not available
Self service editing is not available in every case yet. This currently applies to:
- Domains registered with certain endings: .br, .dk, .es, .fi, .fr, .it, .jp, .no, .ru, .рф, .com.br
- Websites set to Japanese
- Domains that are connected to your Jimdo website but registered with another provider (externally connected domains)
If your domain falls into one of these cases, or if you need to change your personal or company name, please contact Jimdo Support and we will help you update your details.
