Since 2017, all Jimdo Creator websites use the secure and encrypted HTTPS format. This ensures a secure connection between your Jimdo Creator website and all browsers visiting your website. This protects not just you, but also your website visitors.
If you’re seeing an error message, check the following things:
- Empty the browser cache and make sure that you do so regularly.
- Always use the most recent version of your browser.
- If you’ve got an external domain connected to your Jimdo website, check if the domain is connected properly. Your domain needs to be connected using one of the following three methods:
- CNAME entry
- A Record
- Widgets and iFrame: Check in all your widgets and in the Edit Head section of your website to make sure that you’re using HTTPS compatible code. If you find ‘HTTP’ somewhere (without the letter ‘S’) then add the ‘S’ in the correct place and save the changes. If this doesn’t work, then the code provider probably doesn’t have a valid HTTPS certificate. In this case, you’ll want to talk to the code provider.
