If you no longer need your Creator premium plan, you can cancel it directly in your Jimdo account. The cancellation is done via the Subscription section, must be submitted at least one month before the next payment date, and takes effect at the end of the current contract term. In this article, you’ll learn step by step how to cancel your plan and what happens to your website afterwards.
Canceling the subscription
You can cancel your subscription directly via your Creator website by following these steps:
- Log in to your Jimdo account and choose the desired website.
- Click Edit to enter your Jimdo Creator website’s edit mode.
- Go to Menu in the top left-hand corner.
- Click on Subscription and then on Cancel Subscription.
- Choose the option I want to cancel my subscription. It may take a moment for all information to load.
- Review the cancellation details carefully and confirm the cancellation by checking the boxes.
- If you want to keep using your domain, please read the section Keeping my domain below.
- Click Yes, please cancel my Jimdo subscription on the specified date.
Keeping my domain
If you would like to continue using your domain, you’ll need to transfer it to another provider.
In the cancellation form, select the following option in the Domains section:
I would like to continue using the domain yourdomain.xx by transferring it to another registrar. The required Auth Code will be sent by Jimdo to my admin email address.
Frequently asked questions about cancellation
What happens to my website after I cancel?
After cancellation, your Jimdo website will automatically continue as a free Free site. Your content will remain available, but premium features will no longer be active.
Your website will then be accessible via a .jimdofree.com or jimdoweb.com address. You can find this address in your account under Menu > Domains and Emails.
Can I delete my website after cancellation?
Yes. If you no longer want to keep your website after cancellation, you can delete it manually from your account at any time. Step-by-step instructions can be found here: Delete your website.
What happens to email addresses connected to my domain?
All email addresses that were created for your custom domain will be canceled and permanently deleted after cancellation.

Can I undo a cancellation?
Yes. As long as your contract is still active, you can cancel a scheduled cancellation at any time via Menu > Subscription.
