If your Jimdo website is offline or appears to be blocked, there are usually just a few common causes, most often an unpaid invoice. In most cases, you can resolve the issue quickly. This article helps you identify what happened and explains how to get your website back online.
Important after making a payment
After you pay an unpaid invoice, your website and mailbox are restored automatically within 48 hours. The same applies if you fully settled a claim via Debtist or PAIR Finance. If your mailbox is still not working after 48 hours, please contact Jimdo Support.

I paid and it is still down
If a subscription invoice is not paid by the due date, your website is automatically suspended.
After you successfully pay the unpaid invoice, your website is restored automatically within 48 hours.
If you fully settled a claim via Debtist or PAIR Finance, your website is also restored automatically within 48 hours.
Your mailbox is restored on the same 48-hour timeline. If it's still not working after that, contact Jimdo Support.
What to do
- Wait up to 48 hours after your successful payment or after fully settling the claim
- If your website is still offline after 48 hours, contact Jimdo Support
I cannot find my invoice
When your website is blocked, you can no longer access it in the editor. This also means you cannot open your invoice from inside your website.
On the day of renewal, you received an email with a payment link. Use this link to open the payment page and pay your invoice.
What to do
- Check your email inbox for the payment email
- Use the payment link in the email to pay your invoice
- If you cannot find the email, contact Jimdo Support to receive a new payment link
My payment failed
If you tried to pay but the payment didn't go through, your website will stay blocked until a successful payment is received.
What to do
- Try the payment link again, ideally with a different payment method
- Contact Jimdo Support if the payment keeps failing
Note: If you paid by bank transfer, you may have used old payment information from our former payment service provider. In this case, make the payment again using the current payment information. You can find the current payment information through the payment link in the relevant email.
If you no longer have the email, contact Jimdo Support so that we can send you the link to the payment page again.
The payment sent to our former payment service provider is usually refunded automatically. If you do not receive the refund, contact Worldline.
My domain is the problem
Jimdo domains do not expire separately. They are automatically renewed as part of your subscription.
However, if you are using an external domain that is not registered through Jimdo, your website can go offline if that domain is suspended.
If your domain is managed externally, it may be suspended by the registrar due to:
- Unpaid domain fees
- Policy violations
- Legal issues
What to do
- Check with your domain provider
- Make sure your domain is active and fully paid
- Check emails from your domain provider for the reason
- Log in to your domain provider account and review the domain status
- Resolve the issue or contact your provider’s support
None of the above
If your subscription is paid, your payment was successful and your domain is active, the issue may be temporary.
How to check
- Visit status.jimdo.com
- If everything shows as operational and your website is still offline, contact Jimdo Support
Please include
- Your account email address
- What you see when accessing your site
- Confirmation that you paid your invoice
Providing this information helps resolve your issue faster.
